30KHGSN2A (Russian: 30ХГСН2А, sometimes written 30HGSN2A) is a nickel-bearing Cr-Mn-Si alloy steel engineered for very high strength, hardenability, and fatigue resistance after heat treatment. Compared with 30HGSA, the added Ni (~1.4–1.8%) boosts toughness and plasticity, making it a go-to grade for aerospace shafts, engine components, fasteners, gears, and highly loaded machine parts up to ~100 mm section thickness. At Russian Metals, we stock and process bars, plates, sheets, tubes, and forgings in 30KHGSN2A—precision-cut, tested, and shipped fast across India and worldwide.

The high yield strength and toughness make 30KHGSN2A ideal where weight reduction and safety margins are both critical.
Soft Anneal: 640–680 °C (or 840–860 °C) → Slow Cool
Austenitize / Quench: ~900 °C, Oil Quench
Temper: 200–300 °C (often ~260 °C) for Maximum Strength/Toughness Balance
Result: Very high strength, excellent hardenability, no temper brittleness when processed correctly.
Weldability: Limited / Generally not recommended. If unavoidable, use controlled procedures, preheat/interpass control, and post-weld heat treatment; consult our team for procedure support.
Machining: Good in the annealed state; becomes difficult at high hardness—use rigid setups, sharp tooling, and appropriate cutting fluids.

without limitations - welding is done without heating and subsequent heat treeting
limited weldability - welding is possible under heating up to 100-120 grade and subsequent heat treeting
hard weldability - obtaining the quality welding needs the additional operations:heating up to 200-300 grade; the heat treeting ia annealing
