Tensile strength: ~590–810 MPa (bars) • Elongation: ~10–14%
Brinell hardness: ~143–229 HB (annealed) → up to ~460–550 HB after Q&T
Excellent edge retention post hardening; moderate corrosion resistance — consider passivation or coatings in chloride or acidic environments.
~740–800 °C, controlled cool — best machinability
Austenitize ~980–1050 °C; air/oil quench
Choose temperature for desired hardness/toughness balance; double tempering recommended

Machinability: good in annealed state; use rigid setups, carbide tooling, coolant
Weldability: limited — apply qualified procedures with preheat/interpass control and post-weld tempering to reduce cracking and restore toughness
Finishing: grinding, polishing, passivation; specify Ra and edge-prep for blades

without limitations - welding is done without heating and subsequent heat treeting
limited weldability - welding is possible under heating up to 100-120 grade and subsequent heat treeting
hard weldability - obtaining the quality welding needs the additional operations:heating up to 200-300 grade; the heat treeting ia annealing
