20X23N18 is a heat-resistant austenitic stainless steel engineered for high-temperature service with strong oxidation and scaling resistance. With approximately 23% Cr and 18% Ni, it is widely used for furnace parts, heat-treat fixtures, exhaust systems, pyrolysis/chemical equipment, and power-generation components. At Russian Metals, we stock 20X23N18 in the following forms: sheets, plates, bars, tubes, and custom forgings. All materials are cut to size, mill-certified, and dispatched quickly across India and worldwide.

High-temperature strength & stability
Excellent oxidation resistance up to ~1050–1100 °C (service-dependent)
Good corrosion resistance in many hot gases and mildly aggressive media
Austenitic structure → non-magnetic in annealed state, work-hardening on cold work
Good fabrication & weldability (use low-heat input, austenitic fillers; PWHT generally not required)

without limitations - welding is done without heating and subsequent heat treeting
limited weldability - welding is possible under heating up to 100-120 grade and subsequent heat treeting
hard weldability - obtaining the quality welding needs the additional operations:heating up to 200-300 grade; the heat treeting ia annealing
