BrAZh9-4 is a copper-based aluminum bronze containing approximately 9–10% aluminum and 2–4% iron. Its combination of mechanical strength, heat resistance, and anti-friction properties makes it suitable for aircraft engine parts, turbines, bearings, and heavy-duty bushings.
Chemical Composition (%): Cu (84–90), Al (8–10), Fe (2–4), with trace Si, Mn, Pb, Zn.
Standards: GOST 1628-78 | UNS C61900 equivalents.
Tensile strength: 540 MPa (hard) / 400–500 MPa (soft).
Yield strength: up to 700 MPa after heat treatment.
Elongation: 4–35% depending on temper.
Maintains performance under high temperature and friction.
Brinell hardness: 100–200 HB depending on condition.
Excellent resistance to seawater, lubricated friction, and industrial atmospheres.
Friction coefficient: 0.004 (lubricated) / 0.18 (dry).
