    BrAZh9-4 (БрАЖ9-4 / CuAl9Fe3) is a tin-free aluminum bronze alloy valued for its excellent strength, wear resistance, and outstanding corrosion protection in aggressive working environments.     What Is BrAZh9-4 Steel?

    BrAZh9-4 is a copper-based aluminum bronze containing approximately 9–10% aluminum and 2–4% iron. Its combination of mechanical strength, heat resistance, and anti-friction properties makes it suitable for aircraft engine parts, turbines, bearings, and heavy-duty bushings.

    Chemical Composition (%): Cu (84–90), Al (8–10), Fe (2–4), with trace Si, Mn, Pb, Zn.

    Standards: GOST 1628-78 | UNS C61900 equivalents.

    Mechanical Strength & Durability

    Tensile strength: 540 MPa (hard) / 400–500 MPa (soft).

    Yield strength: up to 700 MPa after heat treatment.

    Elongation: 4–35% depending on temper.


    Heat & Wear Resistance

    Maintains performance under high temperature and friction.

    Brinell hardness: 100–200 HB depending on condition.


    Corrosion Protection

    Excellent resistance to seawater, lubricated friction, and industrial atmospheres.
